ABOUT LAKE CHARLES PIT BULL RESCUE
Saving the World, One Pit Bull at a Time
We are a community based organization that, not only provides service dogs and therapy dogs, but are instrumental in helping with animal cruelty cases. We also provide training workshops as well as community services, such as helping to build fences for families in need. All of our dogs are fully vetted (spay/neuter, microchip, all shots, heartworm neg,) and we provide continued support for all of our adopted dogs when needed, and consider our foster parents part of our family!
The love and care we provide our rescued pit bulls wouldn’t be possible without the support of our amazing community. Your contribution, no matter the size, makes a world of difference. Donate, volunteer, or foster – every action helps us find loving forever homes for deserving pit bulls. Join us today and be part of the pack!
Foster
Open your heart and home to a deserving pit bull! Be a temporary hero by providing love and care until they find their forever family.
Donations help cover the costs of vital medical care, vaccinations, microchipping, and heartworm prevention for every dog that comes through our doors.

How Do I Adopt a Dog?
Once you find a pet you’re interested in adopting, you can fill out our adoption application form online or contact us to inquire further.
What Are The Requirements For Adopting A Dog?
Age: You must be 21 years of age or older to adopt a dog from Lake Charles Pitbull Rescue.
Responsible Pet Ownership: We require all current dogs in your home to be spayed or neutered. This promotes responsible pet ownership and helps prevent unwanted litters.
Identification & Verification: Please bring a valid ID that shows your current address during the adoption process.
Landlord Approval: If you rent your home, you’ll need written verification from your landlord allowing pets on the premises.
Commitment: Adopting a dog is a lifelong commitment. Before adopting, be sure you can provide the time, financial resources, and training necessary to properly care for your new furry friend. This includes regular vet checkups, monthly heartworm prevention, and ongoing training.
Can I Meet a Dog Before Deciding to Adopt?
Absolutely! Once you find a pet you’re interested in adopting, you can contact us to inquire further.
Is There An Adoption Fee?
There is a $25 Adoption Application fee to cover the costs associated with processing adoption applications.
There is also a $250 adoption fee, which helps us cover the following procedures:
Spaying or neutering your new dog
All vaccinations your dog needs to be current on
Microchipping your dog for permanent identification
Up-to-date heartworm prevention medication
Does My Application Guarantee Adoption?
Submitting an adoption inquiry does not guarantee the pet you’ve applied for. After receiving your inquiry, our team will review the application and get in touch with you. You may also reach out to us directly to follow up.
